TV shows/Movies
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I loved Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 so I had to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with my boyfriend. Initially he didn't want to see the movie because he thought it was going to suck even though he loved the first movie. I think he just wasn't feeling a fantasy movie. But, because he's a sweet boyfriend, he agreed to watch the movie with me in the cinema. At the end he told me that he loved the movie and so did I. Wow! Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is such a good movie and I couldn't stop crying at the end. Oops! And Groot is so so so cute! I'm glad that I stayed until the very end because during the credits you could see some funny clips and Groot reaching puberty, lol! Click here to watch the trailer!
  • Fifty Shades Darker
If you've been following my blog for  while, you know that I've recently read all 4 of the Fifty Shades books and that I loved them. I was so anticipated seeing Fifty Shades Darker and wow! I think that Fifty Shades Darker is even better than Fifty Shades of Grey! It's so sexy, romantic and actually really cute. Christian is opening up and I think that Jamie Dornan did a great job! I didn't really like Dakota Johnson in Fifty Shades of Grey, I don't really know why I didn't really like her, but in Fifty Shades Darker she did a great job! I think she became a lot prettier and more fitting towards her character, Anastasia. I cannot wait to see Fifty Shades Freed and for those interested, click here to watch the trailer of Fifty Shades Darker.
  • The DUFF
I was going through all the movies in Play More (a kind off TV service from Telenet, a Belgian provider of cable broadband services) and I saw The DUFF. A friend read the first book and watched the movie and she told me that she loved it. It's been a while that she said these things so I kind of forgot about the book/movie, but when I saw the title, I immediately remembered that she talked about it. I watched the trailer and I knew I was going to love the movie. It's so funny and so relatable. I even shed some tears... I cannot wait to read the book because the movie was so good! Click here to check out the book and here to watch the trailer.
  • Riverdale season 1
I'm putting this in my May favourites because the show ended in May. I watched Riverdale from the beginning because my friend told me that she loved the first episode. Together with another friend we always watched the show on Friday and talked about it in our private Facebook chat group. I think that Riverdale is a really good TV show and I cannot wait to see season 2! Click here to see the trailer!
Books
  • A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses so I had to read A Court of Mist and Fury. I remember loving Tamlin and hating Rys but wow, that changed quickly. I think that ACOMAF is even better than ACOTAR so I'm really curious how A Court of Wings and Ruin is going to be... I'm hoping for a good ending and not too many character deaths. I'm avoiding reviews because I don't want to read spoilers... If you're interested in reading my English review, click here, or for my Dutch review, click here. I also created an inspired make-up look that you can find here and if you don't know this series yet, click here to read the synopsis of the first book, A Court of Thorns and Roses.
Make-up
  • Essence highlighter powder 01 my special highlight & eyeshadow 06 celebrate good times
I used both of these as eyeshadows and they're really pretty. I love paring the highlighter powder with a brown/reddish look. It brightens up the look and it stays on for a really long time. I might do a tutorial on that look because I love wearing it! The purple eyeshadow is so beautiful! I love wearing the purple on my lower lash line when I'm wearing some black winged eyeliner. Click here to check out the 15th birthday collection!
  • Nyx Lip Lingerie in Seduction

I love the Nyx Lip Lingerie lipsticks. This is the third shade that I own and I love it! It's so beautiful with a brown/reddish eyeshadow look. They're matt and the stay on for a really long time. When I've eaten something, I just need to touch up the inner part of my lips. Click here to check out the Nyx Lip Lingeries!

Title: Black Dawn
Series: Black Dawn #1
Author: Mallory McCartney
Pages: 180 pages
Version: ebook (ARC)
Publisher: Clean Reads
Rating: ★★★

Black Dawn tells the story Emory, Memphis and Brokk. Emory is the long lost queen and she must save her people from Adair, their mad king. Emory didn't know she was a queen or that she had a special ability until Memphis and Brokk brought her back to Kiero. It's hard for her to believe everything they say because she doesn't have her memories of what happened in Kiero when she was younger... Memphis and Brokk are trying to help her by giving her, her old memories, and are trying to convince her to fight Adair, but will she believe them?

Black Dawn is the first book in the Black Dawn series and I liked it. I like reading about special abilities and shapeshifters so it was really enjoyable to read. I liked the multiple perspective because I got to know a lot more about the characters, but I still have some questions. I want to know why Emory and Memphis did certain things and how Brokk is dealing with certain things. I'll be looking forward to reading the sequel!

ACOMAF inspired make-up look | Tutorial

I love love love the A Court of Thorns and Roses series and I cannot wait to read the third book, A Court of Wings and Ruin. I wanted to make an inspired make-up look because I love ACOMAF and the Night Court. The main reason that the blue is a few shades darker than the book cover is because the Night Court also inspired me. I used the dark blue and some gold to represent a sky full of stars.

Click here to read my English review, here to read my Dutch review and here to read what the series is about.

Read further to know how I created this beautiful look!

1. Prime your eyelids using a primer.

2. Use a dark blue eyeshadow on the eyelids.

3. Use a black eyeshadow in the crease and a little above to crease to darken the look.

4. Use a black (gel) eyeliner on your upper and lower waterline.

5. Use the blue eyeshadow you used on your eyelids to smudge the eyeliner.

6. Use some black eyeshadow in the outer corner of your eyes.

7. Use a gold eyeliner to highlight your inner corner.

8. Use mascara and some lashes to make your eye-look complete.

9. Then my favourite part: highlighter!

10. I'm really sick so I used a lip scrub to soften my lips so my lipstick glides on easier.

11. Use a blue lipstick that kind of matches the eyeshadow.

12. Put a little blue eyeshadow on top op the blue lipstick.

13. Put a little golden stripe in the middle of your bottom lip to give the lips something extra.

And that's it!

A Court of Mist and Fury | Review

Title: A Court of Mist and Fury
Series: A Court of Thorns and Roses #2
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Pages: 626 pages
Version: Paperback
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Rating: ★★★★★

Review

A Court of Mist and Fury continues the story of Feyre in the land of Fae. Now she's a Fae herself and she doesn't really know how she should be and whether she could accept herself being Fae. Besides the struggle of not being human anymore, she struggles with nightmares and a bad relationship with Tamlin. Luckily there's Rhysand to save Feyre from Tamlin. In the beginning she doesn't really know what she feels for Rhys, but the more they get to know each other, the more she begins to love him. But their love isn't their only problem. The king of Hybern is trying to break down the wall between the Fae and the humans, so Feyre's sisters are in danger...

After reading A Court of Thorns and Roses I thought I was team Tamlin, but wow that changed easily. Tamlin is so blind and even though he wants to be good for Feyre, he isn't. And Rhysand is... He's so sexy and wow! I was waiting and waiting until I could read their sexy scenes.

I really loved  A Court of Mist and Fury. It's such a good series and I can't get enough of it. I love the world Sarah J. Maas has created and I cannot wait to read A Court of Wings and Ruin. There are so many good characters and there are some new ones in A Court of Mist and Fury. I can't wait to find out what A Court of Wings and Ruin has in store for me!

Een Hof van Mist en Woede | Recensie

Recensie

Fiery Passion | Review

Title: Fiery Passion
Series: The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles #3
Author: Alec John Belle
Pages: 195 pages
Version: Ebook (beta copy)
Rating: ★★★★★

Review

Fiery Passion continues the story of Heather and her friends. They're trying to find out who's got the Darkness, but that doesn't go so well. Heather is taken by a demon and discovers a lot of truths. Certain secrets reveal themselves and certain people aren't the ones they claim to be...

I really really loved Fiery Passion. I think it's so far the best book in the series. There are so many amazing plot twists! And what I love about The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles is that it talks about a lot of taboos such as pansexual, homosexual, suicide,... I love it when an author dares to be different and writes about these topics.

It took me a bit to come into the story because it's been a really long time since I've read Shadow People, but once I got into the book, I couldn't stop reading. Fiery Passion is really fast paced and such a great book!

I also want to say thank you to the amazing Alec John Belle for giving me a beta copy. You're the best and I'll always love your work!

TV shows/Movies
  • Confess
Confess is such a beautiful book written by Colleen Hoover and this month the TV show released. It has 7 episodes and I loved it. It was so beautiful and I was crying at the end, oops! I do want to say that not everything is the same as in the book, but I don't really mind. They've announced that there were going to be changes and because of that I was prepared and loved the show anyway! And like always, I have some links for you guys: click here to read my review of the book, click here to see my book inspired make-up look, click here to see the trailer of Confess and click here to watch the series online!
  • Thirteen Reasons Why
Thirteen Reasons Why is a TV show based on the book Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I loved the book and I love the TV show. Not everything is the same, and in the beginning it annoyed me but then around episode 6 I started to love the show. It's so good and just wow. Click here to read my review and click here to watch the trailer.

  • Dance Academy season 3
It's been a long time since I've watched season 2 of Dance Academy but I was looking at my Watchlist on TVShow Time so I thought, why not watch Dance Academy? I watched 5 episodes on Saturday and the rest on Sunday. And I loved every bit of it. I've always been in love with ballet so I love reading and watching TV shows about ballet. And this is one of my favourites! Click here to watch the trailer of season 1.

Books
  • The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Problem with Forever is such a beautiful book and so deep. The story itself is hard but also something like a life lesson. That no matter how hard life is and you might feel like giving up, there'll always be someone to help you. I've read and loved other books by Jennifer L. Armentrout and The Problem with Forever is yet another amazing book written by her. She's one of my favourite authors!Click here to see my inspired make-up look and click here to find out more about the book.
  • Other Breakable Things by ...
I was given an ARC copy by Chapter by Chapter to read and review the book and wow. It's so good. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking and I got some Me Before You vibes, and it was really enjoyable to read. At the end I was crying non-stop and I highly recommend this book! Click here to read my review!

Make-up
  • Essence chrome eyeliner pen: 02 do you hear the chirping birds?
I love love love this eyeliner pencil. I love to put it on my waterline to make my eyes pop. When I just wear mascara, it gives something extra to my look! Unfortunately it's a trend edition so it's available for a specific period. Click here to check the edition out!
  • 2B Blush Powder Highlighter in 01 Silver
This highlighter is so blinding! WOW! I've never bought anything by 2B but now I know that I'll probably be buying more of their brand. I really love the highlighter and I cannot wait to see what they have in store! Click here to check out their website!

Other things
  • Groezrock 2017
Groezrock is a metalcore, hardcore and punk festival in Belgium and this is my fifth time going to Groezrock. I think that this year wasn't such a good year because there weren't a lot of bands that I liked but I do loved: Stick To Your Guns, In Hearts Wake and Counterfeit. I saw other bands that I liked but these are the ones that I wanted to see. But I wanted to put this festival in my favourites because I made some new friends and had a great time laughing with them and getting to know them.
